We are looking for a Power BI Automation Specialist to lead the automation of Power BI (PBI) reports using Microsoft’s Data Gateway. The goal is to enhance efficiency, save time and resources, and centralize information to improve team collaboration. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, configuring, and maintaining the infrastructure required for the automation process, while ensuring secure data handling and privacy compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate data refreshes for Power BI datasets across various workspaces from internal and external data sources.
- Schedule data refreshes based on a predefined calendar to ensure timely updates.
- Store and distribute Power BI reports in a centralized location accessible to stakeholders.
- Identify relevant data sources and ensure their compatibility with the Data Gateway.
- Define the infrastructure for Power BI report automation and set up the environment.
- Install and configure the Data Gateway, Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Service.
- Implement and maintain security protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure privacy compliance.
- Utilize Power Automate to schedule and automate tasks related to data refresh and report distribution.
- Set up centralized storage solutions like OneDrive, SharePoint, or Power BI Service for report storage.
Requirements:
- Proven experience automating Power BI reports using Microsoft Data Gateway.
- Expertise in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service for report generation and distribution.
- Familiarity with Power Automate for scheduling and workflow automation.
- Strong understanding of managing data sources, both internal and external.
- Experience in implementing security measures and handling privacy protocols.
- Proficiency in configuring cloud-based storage solutions, including OneDrive and SharePoint.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setup.
