Overview

ThePresident of Kemin’s animal nutrition and animal health (KAE) has full fiduciary responsibility to lead theentire operational activities for Kemin’s animal nutrition and animal health activities in the EMENA (Europe, Middle East, North Africa) region. This includes Sales and Marketing, Operations, R&D, Regulatory Affairs and Quality.

The incumbent will direct and control resources to ensure all aspects of the operations are adequately equipped to achieve business goals of the company. The KAE President will assume full P&L responsibilities, be entirely responsible for business development in EMENA, identifying new customers and develop marketing strategies. Most important is to provide leadership to and nurture, motivate and manage people in the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Full P&L, budgeting responsibility and cost control management of the business unit
  • Achieve the financial goals of the company by ensuring maximum overall operating efficiency of the manufacturing facilities
  • Lead in all aspects in product development, process development, personnel development and financial growth
  • Cooperate and collaborate with Kemin’s eight other animal nutrition and health business units located in other parts of the world.
  • Active involvement in strategic planning and budgeting
  • Able to recognize quality and service, to be able to differentiate from competitors
  • Timely reporting to the Global President Animal Nutrition and Health
  • Identify new business opportunities and act on the same
  • Establish and monitor productivity benchmarks to achieve worldwide standards
  • Play a key role in product and service development
  • Maintain appropriate industry contacts, government bodies and industrial organizations
  • Providing a safe, conducive, and productive workplace to ensure maximum productivity
  • Ensure meeting of corporate goals keeping in mind the Vision, Mission and Values of the company.
Qualifications

We seek a university graduate with 10 or more years of experience who has a strong track record in management. A background coming from theagriculture, food, chemical, veterinary, pharmaceutical industry will be considered.

It is highly desirable that this personunderstands the field of biochemistry/chemistry. A technical degree is useful; however, if the candidate does not possess this, the ability to learn technical attributes of products and chemical processing in KAE’s manufacturing locations is necessary.

General management skills are essential and ability to manage and strategize a business is important. The candidate should have extensive business experience in EMENA and has proven core competencies in sales and business development.

Strong entrepreneurialskills are essential with proven strengths in operations management. Experience in providing strategic leadership to an active R&D department is necessary. This person needs to embody the principles of Servant Leadership while directing their team and organization towards success.

We seek an energetic hands-on individual who is highly committed, result-oriented, independent and innovative. A good understanding of financials is essential. A significant amount of international travel is required.

The ideal candidate is able to thrive in a very independent environment with little direction from Kemin Industries. However, the resources of the larger company are available to the president when he or she wishes to utilize them.
