Product Owner

As Product Owner you are responsible for converting the product vision into clear product feature epics or requests. You are the essential link between the customer experience managers that represent the product vision in their dedicated phase of the customer journey, and the development teams that build and optimize various technical solutions that our customers use to access our popular entertainment products, or that our internal colleagues use for various administrative purposes, including player protection and customer service.

Your responsibilities

You work in continuous consultation with customer experience managers, development squad leads, and engineers in technical operations, data intelligence, software development and product design (UX/UI).

• Create and define product epics and support development teams with converting product vision into new products, features and user stories;
• plan, prepare and prioritize product feature development and product backlogs in accordance to added business value;
• attend daily standups, provide backlog management, iteration planning, resolve product development challenges and elaborate user stories;
• mitigate impediments that impact sprint and deployment objectives;
• drive product deployment planning and set expectations for delivery;
• report to the lead of the involved squads or teams.

Your profile

• Preferably a higher degree in Computer Sciences, ICT Engineering or equivalent.
• Several years of professional experience in a similar role and in building and implementing software technology, ideally in the e-commerce or gaming industry.
• Outstanding communication skills, using appropriate language at all levels -both spoken and written- in English, and preferrably also in Dutch.
• Experienced in working according to Agile principles (SAFe, scrum, kanban).
• Expert knowledge in software development lifecycle and engineering processes.
• Excellent documentation and presentation skills.
• Advanced user of the Atlassian stack (JIRA, Confluence etc.) or equivalent.
• An innovative mindset, creative as well as rigorous with an eye for detail while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
• An analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
• A good sense of urgency, excellent prioritization skills and capable of working in a high pressure, fast moving environment.
• A team player who derives satisfaction from working closely with others.
