The businessteam.blue was created in June 2019 by the merger of regional leading hosting providers Combell Group, Register Group and TransIP Group and offers digital presence and enablement tools such as domains, hosting, email, VPS and applications to over 2.5 million SME, SoHo and developer customers across Europe.
The group consists of 2000+ employees, 40+ well-known and respected brands, spanning across 17 European countries – with a bloodline that represents total commitment to customers.
The role
This position is a key position to drive the product lifecycle through design, development, and implementation across the organisation, in addition to leading the teams and grow the presence of Managed Hosting products across the team.blue brands.
Responsibilities
- Lead and direct projects requiring functional integration and product expansion across the organization.
- Define and implement the product strategy in close collaboration with the business partners in sales and marketing, technology, finance and operations.
- Identify risks and mitigation strategies
- Lead the positioning, pricing and go to market and product development of the product portfolio within the team.blue group and align this with the regional brands in every market.
- Set and reach the targets as Product P&L owner.
- Manage product managers, UX designers and product owners directly and indirectly all business owners to achieve the goals with the product.
- Provide product and management mentorship to technical leads and other business owners within the group. Act as the face and ambassador for the product within team.blue.
- Lead the alignment on all product matters with the appropriate people from across the company
- Represent the unit and team to the other functions and customers.
- Organizes multiple teams, leads production processes to ensure all teams have the resources they require and oversee a product’s life cycle.
- Conducts research for new products, designs concepts and product enhancements.
- Collaborates with team members to evaluate the practicality of ideas and eventually develop them into reliable, sellable products.
- Relies on experience with past product concepts and management skills to plan and evaluate a team’s goals.
- Understands how to operate independently and exercises proper judgment on new ideas and development plans.
- Leads the department in accomplishing its product-related goals.
- Suggest changes to an initial product’s design for cost or efficiency purposes.
- Review past product solutions and current strategies that the team proposes.
- Communicates with members of a team and stakeholders. Update stakeholders to keep them informed on its progress. Organize meetings, answer questions and elaborate on any product details when requested. Understands how to clearly describe the changing nature of a product and any features or enhancements a team may add to a product.
- Understands its entire life cycle and fosters its marketability through each phase.
- Gathers and consider implementing product feedback. Understands how to develop new features based on customer opinions and the optimal time to release a new edition of an existing product. Comprehends how to selectively choose proper feedback, rather than making changes in consideration of each customer’s opinions.
- Understands how to create a product with successful marketing strategies that can sell effectively to the business’s target audience.
- Proven knowledge in Managed Hosting products with best-in-class companies.
- 10+ years of progressive product management experience with day-to-day operations within technology / technology services.
- Experience in managing a product P&L > 25 Mio Euro of Revenue.
- Comfortable managing employees who have different technical skills sets and tasks than your own (technical) background and expertise.
- Successfully coordinate large initiatives which span across Product teams.
- Sets the standard on product KPI reporting, documentation and product effectiveness.
- Large driver behind team.blue’s long term Managed Hosting vision and strategy.
- Strong verbal and written presentation skills, and ability to communicate fluently in English (spoken & written).
