IT Strategy Theme Coordinator for Cyber Resilience

Job description

Since cyber-attacks are still on the rise and more sophisticated every day, we must intensify its efforts to implement countermeasures to resist the different fraud attempts.

Supported by data & AI, IT wants to become more cyber resilient, and remain multiple steps ahead in the hacker’s arms race, with risk management embedded in the daily work of all employees.

Being cyber resilient is hence one of the 9 strategic themes in the IT strategy, to transform the organization.

To steer and energize the execution of these strategic themes, a “Strategic Portfolio Office” is being set up, reporting directly to the CIO Belgium. It is a small multi-disciplinary team of 7 people, responsible for the definition of the IT strategy, the delivery of the desired value through incremental changes, and the monitoring of the evolution towards the desired state.

As part of this “Strategic Portfolio Office” we are looking for an IT Strategy Theme Coordinator for Cyber Resilience responsible for the realisation of the desired value of this strategy theme by driving change in all different aspects of the organisation and working closely together with the (Scaled Agile) value streams and Agile Release Trains that must implement the required changes.

Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

Strategic Theme ownership for Cyber Resilience:

You define, challenge and improve desired states, key enablers and criteria of success/key results for Cyber Resilience, together with all stakeholders in the IT organisation

You gather an overview on all epics contributing to reach the objectives, identify gaps and define new epics to reach the strategic objective together with all stakeholders in the IT organisation

You participate in Value Stream meetings to challenge epics that impact the progress and outcome of the theme, and challenge epic owners that contribute to your Strategic Theme on priorities and sustainable outcome

You take the lead to the organisation of the strategic theme around the deliverables agreed, establish priorities, ensure that required activities are planned in the different portfolio processes (IT Lean Portfolio Board, PI planning of different Agile Release trains, …) and follow up on the results

You contribute to the organisation, validation and allocation of resources with the different Agile Release Trains

You ensure progress and include required deliverables in the IT strategy review, in line with the data driven IT portfolio and performance approach

You organise the monitoring of achievement of the strategy theme’s objectives

Needed Qualifications -

Change Management and communication:

You take decisions at a strategic and operational level and, to do so, build a relationship of trust with (senior) management and other stakeholders

You inspire and motivate stakeholders in order to achieve a common objective

You handle appealing and effective communication at different levels in the organization relating to the strategy theme to ensure the understanding, acceptance and appropriate implementation of the solution proposed

Knowledge & experience in programme, project management and change management and

all of this applied in our SAFe way of working

Knowledge of the IT organisation and the activities of the various departments.
