Location: Tubize, Belgium Thales people architect solutions at the heart of the defence-security continuum. Thales Belgium SA, Belgium competence center of Thales, is a company located on 2 sites, one in Tubize (near Brussels) and the other one in Herstal (near Lige). Thales Belgium, which employs more than 230 collaborators, is specialized in the design, development and supply of critical information systems for customers in the sectors of Defense, Security (including Cyber), Transport and Aerospace.

Mission

As a member of the Projects team, The Project Management Officer (PMO) is accountable for the operational activities of the Project Management Office position and contribute to the projects delivery of the company.

He/She reports to the Head of Bids and Projects.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate Project Management Office actions linked to the different entitys fields of expertise or specificities;
  • Articulate and make available the technical know-how linked to the project management tools and methods
  • Contribute and bring a support to the projects / programs / portfolios structuration, planning, estimations, opportunities and risk management, execution and reporting;
  • Put in place performance evaluations of the projects steering;
  • Capitalize the good practices and recommend way of improvements
  • Occasionally participate to progress meetings and projects review
Profile
  • You have at least 10 years experience in a PMO position in an international and technically demanding environment
  • You are fluent in French, Dutch and English
  • You are autonomous and rigorous
  • You have strong oral and written communication skills
  • You are comfortable with writing documents
  • You are able to work in cross-functional teams and you are a real team-player
  • You have an ability to build and promote a positive workplace
  • You are Customer-oriented and Agile mindset, In-depth problem solving skills, have an ability to take and meet commitments
