Role Overview

We are searching for a Quality Manager to develop and manage the team that provides product technical guidance to internal and external customers, including materials selection, design, manufacturing, testing, and end-user problem solving. This is a new role, which can be located near any of our sites with a hybrid working style possible.

Reporting to the Global Director of EHS, Quality & Compliance, this is a key role that will ensure materials and products comply with the various regulations and packaging safety standards. By overseeing activities across EMEA and APAC, the role holder will be the primary contact for product compliance issues, certifying bodies and for actively engaging in industry associations.

Typical Accountabilities
  • Monitor legislation, access impact and initiate actions
  • Maintain global procedures and support sites with implementation packages for the different certifications
  • Design test strategies, test protocols & oversee audits from certifying/regulatory body
  • Develop and maintain digital solutions for data management as well as process applications
  • Drive root cause analysis of incidents & ensure learnings are applied
  • Monitor trends and initiate corrective action program to get back on track
  • Oversee MOC & establish and maintain material and labor standards including raw material certifications
  • Develop & deploy global quality roadmaps
  • Participate in relevant industry associations and chair groups where value adding
  • Develop and deploy the Quality training portfolio
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in dealing with packaging manufacturing regulations for the transportation of dangerous goods, such as CFR 49 or UN Orange Book Recommendation and experience in trouble shooting packaging product performance issues related to manufacturing, raw materials or supplied components.
  • Believes themselves to be a pro-active, value driven, customer centric professional
  • Fluent English speaker
