MISSION

The Quality Metrologist is responsible for:
  • Supporting the development and validation testing activities of the site with respect to pressure vessels and gas storage racks
  • Providing accurate and timely quality input to ensure smooth development projects
  • Guarding the appropriate quality mindset for a process and product development site
  • Incoming and outgoing goods inspections, in process quality auditing of manufactured product and processes, testing and measuring of product, control/disposition of suspect/non-conforming products.
  • Propose and define new test devices when it is needed
  • Ensure the right calibration for every measuring devices
  • Perform (material) – lab. activities
  • Preform product measurements and (material) testing feedback to the product and process development teams.
  • Engage in and drive improvement activities with respect to Quality registrations, measurement and material testing activities.


Primary Responsibilities

Assist in the development, implementation, training, audit, and enforcement of tools and visual indicators with Development and Validation Testing Team Members
  • Communicate quality issues to organization
  • Maintain / file accurate product/process quality records of all quality tests, audits and calibrations
  • Assist quality organization (Quality Engineer and Technician) as requested
  • Understand and perform product and process audits
  • Reporting of Quality metrics
  • Facilitates corrective action (8D) as applicable
  • Authority and responsibility to stop production and shipments when a Quality or Safety issue arises
  • Preparing samples for testing and performing materials tests
  • Performing measurements on parts and processes. Set-up automations in this respect.
  • Preforming materials tests and provide feedback
  • Maintain the equipment in pristine condition.
