Develop advanced metrology solutions on state-of-the-art metrology tools in imec cleanroom8

What you will do

As an R&D engineer in metrology you will:

• Work in a metrology group focusing on overlay and focus metrology for advanced patterning applications
• Actively contribute to the definition and execution of research and joint development programs within the Advanced Patterning Center (APC)
• Setup and Perform experiments in imec cleanroom in close collaboration with process or metrology researchers and engineers
• Develop advanced metrology solutions on state-of-the-art metrology tools in imec cleanroom (CD-SEM, image based or diffraction-based overlay and focus optical metrology) and analyze/interpret the generated data (through the development of your own analysis tool if required). This can involve the definition of best practices to be deployed to all users as well the invention of innovative methods to solve new challenges.
• Support and coach junior engineer(s)/researcher(s) in the domain of expertise
• Follow and understand tool supplier roadmap and advise imec metrology roadmap
• Advise on metrology targets for prototype integration reticles
• Report results internally and externally (weekly customer meeting, quarterly technical reviews or conferences/workshops)

Who you are

• You have a PhD in Applied Sciences, Material Engineering or Electronics or a master degree with at least 5 years of experience in the industry or an R&D institute
• You have interest, or preferably experience, in metrology and advanced patterning in a high tech cleanroom;
• You are able to work in complex environments with various partners and customers
• You are flexible and able to deal with change or ambiguity
• You work accurately and have attention to details
• You can work without supervision and are proactive;
• You have excellent English communication skills
• You have excellent presentation skills
