Since 2013, DELIVER has undertaken a complete review of its network and consolidated its footprint while driving outstanding distribution operations. The Regional Transportation organization of DELIVER focuses on the strategic and operational oversight of Regional Transportation to ensure reliable supply of local DCs and Hubs from Make, to maximize value to Johnson & Johnson. Next to the daily operational support to ensure fast, reliable, and compliant transport, the focus is on monitoring and improving performance, creating network visibility, and driving continuous improvement to unlock value and reimagine innovation via identification of CIPs and participations in cross-functional projects. Scope of this position Guidance, coordination and operational oversight of regional inbound Transportation HMD Segment to ensure reliable and cost-efficient supply of local Affiliates DCs from Manufacturing Sites and Regional Hubs. The focus for this role will be the close collaboration and partnership with different the functions Plan, Make, Deliver, Procurement/GDx/RDx/QA and Trade Compliance/Regional D&T functions for lean and cost-efficient inbound transport operations in support of required service to the Customer. Essential duties and responsibilities: Support HMD IBF daily operations with focus on EMEA hubs Courcelles and Selzach to/from Affiliate DCs Administer HMD network plan & support key initiatives to improve network flow from Make sites & Regional Hubs to Affiliate DCs Support implementation of J&Js Global Control Tower Support HMD IBF budget management via accruals management & invoice freight audit support Performance review and reliability improvement linked to E2E integration driving process improvement via corrective actions and participating in frequent performance reviews with 3PL/4PL’s² Value creation via process & cost improvement initiatives (CIPs): Manage CIP pipeline and keep track on actual, drive innovation with 3PL’s to identify new saving potential and improve cost-to-serve and support regional & global network optimization projects Collaborate with other Deliver functions (Segment Deliver, D&T Operations, GDEx/RDEx, Quality, Safety & Compliance, Transportation Procurement) & 3PL/4PL’s Key Interfaces Deliver: Alignment with Regional Segment (HMD) Deliver Lead on Segment priorities Plan: Actively engaged with Regional Supply Planning for transport reliability and adherence to SLAs GDx/RDx: Assess operational maturity and define and execute continuous improvement priorities Compliance: Jointly focus on creating competitive advantage through quality and compliance Regional Distribution: Actively manages interface with Distribution operations to optimize product flows E2E Finance / QA / Security Objectives / Metrics Focus: Enabling execution of reliable day-to-day operations, ensuring reliability, speed, quality and compliance at optimal cost KPIs: Transportation cost & CIP’s Transportation Reliability Make/Hub to DC Control Tower Performance KPIs Qualifications Essential knowledge and skills: Degree: Bachelor or University degree in Logistics / Supply Chain / Business Languages: Fluent in English, other European languages is a plus Excellent analytical skills and affinity to numbers: ability to support budgeting and financial reconciliation processes and identify/calculate Continues Improvement Planning opportunities in Transportation. Subject Matter Expertise across core Transportation, Planning and Carrier /3PL-4PL management, knowledge of import / export processes and systems is a plus. Experience in E2E Supply chain related disciplines, good understanding of order-to-cash process is a plus E2E mindset and collaborative, Customer focused approach. Ability to partner with and influence others without direct authority Innovative mindset with capability for problem solving, compliance orientation/GDP knowledge/quality mindset, business case development and trade-off alignment Ability to drive continuous improvement and build best practices in Operations efficiency with a focus on Transportation management to drive E2E value Process orientation with mindset for continuous improvement. Lean certification is a plus. Good communication and presentation skills paired with ability to conceptualize.
