What do we do?

KPMG’s Regulatory Compliance & Transformation Practice (part of KPMG Advisory) provides strategic advice and technical regulatory compliance solutions to help financial services providers anticipate and manage their regulatory risk.Our team helps clients meet regulatory expectations and obligations by implementing effective and efficient governance and risk management frameworks, enhancing internal controls, and helping create a culture of risk management and compliance. We do so in the field, side-by-side with our clients.

To us, having a good understanding of legal requirements is a sheer necessity, but legal analysis will be a small part of our job. Our job is about “making it happen” in practice. To this end, you will work in multidisciplinary teams with colleagues from other service lines - such as Financial Risk Managers, Data Scientists, Smart Automation and Process specialists - or with RegTech firms with whom we have established strategic partnerships.


Your first mission would consist of projects in connection with Anti-Money Laundering (AML). Specifically, banks have a fundamental role as “gatekeeper” to prevent those proceeds from illicit acts.

  • You have a Master’s degree in Law or will soon graduate;
  • You are a team player who can work autonomously;
  • You have an affinity with Technology;
  • You are result-oriented with excellent problem solving and analytical skills;
  • You have good communication skills, both written and spoken in Dutch and/or French and English; and most importantly;
  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and are willing to contribute actively to the growth of the KPMG Regulatory Practice;
  • A first professional experience is a plus, but not a necessity (you will get the proper training before starting your first mission)
  • You want to start in a consultancy environment with your Law degree, in a team that invests in your growth and helps each other out!
