The Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management – I3H Service - Institute for Interdisciplinary Innovation in Healthcare is recruiting:

A Project Officer

For a replacement contract at 4/5 of full-time

Context:

The Free University of Brussels is one of the largest employers in the Brussels-Capital Region, with more than 6,000 employees (excluding Erasme Hospital) and nearly 38,000 students. Its main missions are teaching, research, and community service.

At I³H, our goal is to educate the next generation of healthcare professionals and to develop scientific knowledge that contributes to innovative technologies and strategies. Our vision is to bridge competencies and expertise to strengthen the healthcare ecosystem.

I³h is located on both Campus Solbosch and Erasme of the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Brussels, Belgium. Multidisciplinary by nature, I³h is organized as a virtual institute, that is a collaborative research and education environment, linking complementary expertise to elaborate and educate on innovation in healthcare.

In 2016, the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB) and the I3h Institute created, with the support of the Fund Baillet Latour, an Educational Program in Healthcare Innovation. The Educational Program aims to educate students, PhDs, post-docs and professionals operating in healthcare and related sectors. The portfolio spans different modules providing a holistic view of the health system, and develops the competencies to meet scientific, clinical and regulatory challenges but also address organizational, business, management and societal issues. I³h Institute is involved in multiple (European) projects: EU4Health, Fondation Roi Baudouin, HI-PRIX, Belspo, AALFA, etc.

Main responsibilities:

  • Organize educational programs and coordinate events: contacts with students and teachers, logistics, organizational/administrative aspects, program promotion, evaluate feedback and suggest ideas and improvements, organize exams and case studies, etc.
  • Supervise I3h communications activities: website updates (WordPress, WIX), online publications (LinkedIn), creation of graphic design, printed brochures, PowerPoint presentations, ...
  • Work in collaboration with the administrative and communications assistant on the following projects:
  • BE-PIN, Pandemic Intelligence Network, (www.pandemicintelligence.be): research project on training needs for Pandemic Preparedness
  • AALFA (www.aalfa.org): support in the deployment of Mini-Labs in collaboration with ULB Pôle Santé and MSF Logistic.
  • HI-PRIX: administrative and organizational support.
  • Support in administrative tasks for our various (European) projects and work closely with our PhD students (financial administration, human resources, reporting).
  • Supervise grant administration and look for new grants together with our co-directors and research team.
  • Assist in office management and help with I3h technical equipment and facilities: Update tracking files, databases and other documents related to the logistics and Handle ad hoc requests and queries from senior managers

Profile:

  • Hold a master’s degree in human sciences (Communication or Administration) and be recognized by the FWB.
  • Individuals holding a foreign degree and/or having an equivalence from the Flemish Community must obtain an equivalence of their degree from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.: (Accueil - Diplômes de l’Enseignement Supérieur)
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in project management and/or communication.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficiency in digital tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, online communication platforms).
  • Familiarity with Canva, Mailchimp, and Adobe Suite is an advantage.
  • Fluent in French and English.
  • Knowledge and interest in healthcare is a plus.
