Description

  • As Safety Manager within a site based team involved in the piping mechanical construction of a new petro-chemical installation from start until completion and handover to the client.
  • You report to the Project Manager and your responsibility is the HSE field management of the main and subcontractors on site.
  • Follow up of safety during construction on site, defining and supervising safety regulations and introduction of personel on site.
  • Review the Contractors Health & Safety Plans and integrate in the Project Health & Safety Plan.
  • Study and complete the project safety risk assessment.
  • Update Safety Plan when required, in cooperation with the Health & Safety Coordinator.
  • Organise and manage the project safety team.
  • Participate the daily coordination SIMOPS meeting with construction team.
  • Guide construction team for implementation of the health & safety plan requirements.
  • Review design and works method statements, including risk analysis.
  • Perform regular health & safety inspections on site.
  • Organise weekly health & safety walks with contractor Safety and Construction Managers.
  • Organise health & safety trainings and actions to improve safety awareness.
  • Organise the work permit system to apply in Project area.
  • Coordinate with local HSE department for work permits inside of terminal area.
  • Follow-up mitigation of safety risks and corrective actions for unsafe situations.
  • Excellent knowledge of Belgian safety regulations is a selection criteria.
  • Excellent knowledge of English and Dutch language is required.
