As a Section Manager for Design, Engineering & Solutions at Equans, you’ll have the chance to lead a dynamic team and make a significant impact in the nuclear sector.

Based in Dessel and Villers-le-Bouillet, with occasional travel to France, Germany or the rest of Europe, you’ll be part of our Specialized Nuclear Services department, a key player in the Energy Transition & Integrated Solutions Division.

Ready to take the helm? As a Section Manager, your daily tasks include:

• managing and coordinating all activities in your section to reach targeted turnover and margins
• planning, organizing, leading, coordinating and controlling all projects and related business activities, in order to reach the targeted objectives from a commercial, customer relationship, project implementation, financial turnover, budget, profit and resources management point of view
• supervising the implementation steps related to the development of assets, services and markets
• maintaining long-term relationships with customers, partners and subcontractors and detecting potential projects
• negotiating with clients, subcontractors and partners in cooperation with Legal, Purchase and Tendering departments
• managing your team and ensuring a positive work atmosphere
• reporting regularly to the Department Manager on the activities and results of your section
• watch over the application of safety, security and quality standards
• supervise the monitoring of projects from an implementation/operational point of view

Does this sound like you?

• Master’s Degree in Engineering
• at least 15 years of experience in managing projects in a complex and preferably nuclear environment
• experience in people management and the ability to motivate others
• good knowledge of mechanical concepts and applications within the nuclear sector
• ability to work well in an environment where several projects are taking place at the same time
• ability to constructively challenge your team members and bring them to a higher level
• commercial insight, customer satisfaction is important to you, and you enjoy long-term customer relationships
• results oriented, entrepreneurial and pragmatic, creative, take initiatives
• excellent communicator
• fluent in Dutch, French and English (German is a plus)

The Department Specialized Nuclear Services is part of the Division ‘Energy Transition & Integrated Solutions’ and as such operates within the Industry Segment of Equans. The Department comprises 2 Sections: Nuclear Contracting and Design, Engineering & Solutions. Together they generate a turnover of €35M with a staff of 300 people. The mission of the Department consist in delivering total solutions to the nuclear sector including onsite technical services & material handling, nuclear logistics, characterization, decontamination & dismantling projects, design & build of nuclear packaging and tooling, and various expertise in specific nuclear domains.

Perimeter

The Section Design, Engineering & Solutions includes the following business activities:

• decontamination, dismantling & Waste (including chemical decontamination operations and waste characterization)
• fuel (including (un)loading of operations and nuclear fuel and on-site consultancy)
• nuclear Logistics and controlled areas (including nuclear transports)

The Section also encompasses the design of technical solutions offered for both internal as external customers (including feasibility studies, technical calculations, safety files, design and construction).

Prêt à prendre les rênes ? En tant que Section Manager, vos tâches quotidiennes incluront :

• gérer et coordonner toutes les activités de ta section pour atteindre les objectifs de chiffre d’affaires et de marges ciblés
• planifier, organiser, diriger, coordonner et contrôler tous les projets et activités commerciales connexes, afin d’atteindre les objectifs visés du point de vue commercial, de la relation client, de la mise en œuvre des projets, du chiffre d’affaires financier, du budget, des bénéfices et de la gestion des ressources
• superviser les étapes de mise en œuvre liées au développement des actifs, des services et des marchés
• entretenir des relations à long terme avec les clients, les partenaires et les sous-traitants et détecter les projets potentiels
• négocier avec les clients, les sous-traitants et les partenaires en coopération avec les départements Legal, Purchase & Tendering
• gérer ton équipe et assurer une atmosphère de travail positive
• rendre régulièrement compte au Department Manager des activités et des résultats de ta section
• veiller à l’application des normes de sécurité, de sûreté et de qualité
• superviser le suivi des projets d’un point de vue opérationnel et de mise en œuvre

Cela vous parle ?

• diplôme master d’Ingénieur
• au moins 15 ans d’expérience dans la gestion de projets, de préférence dans un environnement nucléaire complexe
• expérience en gestion d’équipe et capacité à motiver les autres
• bonne connaissance des concepts mécaniques et des applications dans le secteur nucléaire
• capacité à travailler efficacement dans un environnement où plusieurs projets ont lieu simultanément
• capacité à challenger de manière constructive les membres de ton équipe et à les amener à un niveau supérieur
• sens commercial développé, la satisfaction client vous est important et vous appréciez les relations clients à long terme
• orienté résultats, entrepreneur et pragmatique, créatif, vous prenez des initiatives
• excellent communicateur
• maîtrise du néerlandais, du français et de l’anglais (l’allemand est un plus)

Le département des Specialized Nuclear Services fait partie de la division "Energy Transition & Integrated Solutions". Le département comprend 2 sections : Nuclear Contracting et Design, Engineering & Solutions. Ensemble, elles génèrent un chiffre d’affaires de 35 millions d’euros avec une équipe de 300 personnes. La mission du département consiste à fournir des solutions totales au secteur nucléaire, incluant les services techniques sur site et la gestion des matériaux, la logistique nucléaire, la caractérisation, la décontamination et les projets de démantèlement, la conception et la construction d’emballages et d’outillages nucléaires, ainsi que diverses expertises dans des domaines nucléaires spécifiques.

Le périmètre de la section Design, Engineering & Solutions inclut les activités commerciales suivantes :

• décontamination, démantèlement & déchets (incluant les opérations de décontamination chimique et la caractérisation des déchets)
• combustible (incluant les opérations de chargement/déchargement et le conseil sur site pour le combustible nucléaire)
• logistique nucléaire et zones contrôlées (incluant les transports nucléaires)

La section englobe également la conception de solutions techniques proposées tant pour les clients internes qu’externes, incluant les études de faisabilité, les calculs techniques, les dossiers de sécurité, la conception et la construction.

• het managen en coördineren van alle activiteiten binnen jouw sectie om de beoogde omzet en marges te behalen
• het plannen, organiseren, leiden, coördineren en controleren van alle projecten en gerelateerde zakelijke activiteiten, met het oog op het behalen van de gestelde doelstellingen op commercieel, klantrelatie, projectimplementatie, financiële omzet, budget, winst en middelenbeheer
• toezicht houden op de uitvoeringsstappen met betrekking tot de ontwikkeling van assets, diensten en markten
• het onderhouden van langdurige relaties met klanten, partners en onderaannemers en het signaleren van potentiële projecten
• onderhandelen met klanten, onderaannemers en partners in samenwerking met de juridische, inkoop- en aanbestedingsafdelingen
• het managen van jouw team en zorgen voor een positieve werksfeer
• regelmatig rapporteren aan de Department Manager over de activiteiten en resultaten van jouw sectie
• toezien op de toepassing van veiligheids-, beveiligings- en kwaliteitsnormen
• toezicht houden op de monitoring van projecten vanuit een implementatie/operationeel oogpunt

De perimeter van de sectie Design, Engineering & Solutions omvat de volgende zakelijke activiteiten:

• decontaminatie, ontmanteling & afval (inclusief chemische decontaminatie-operaties en afvalkarakterisering)
• brandstof (inclusief (on)laden van operaties en nucleaire brandstof en on-site advies)
• nucleaire logistiek en gecontroleerde gebieden (inclusief nucleaire transporten)

De sectie omvat ook het ontwerp van technische oplossingen die worden aangeboden aan zowel interne als externe klanten (inclusief haalbaarheidsstudies, technische berekeningen, veiligheidsdossiers, ontwerp en constructie).
