In Honeywell Thermal Solutions (HTS) we provide complete industrial burner systems to numerous different industries all over the world.

Within the Vilvoorde engineering and production site of HTS we are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer.

Tasks

Position Summary:
This position will be responsible and be the main point of contact for the electrical aspects of our projects involving gas burner systems and other thermal solutions, from sales proposal stage to the final commissioning stage. The senior electrical engineer will be part of the EMEA electrical team reporting to the EMEA Electrical Engineering manager.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Detailed electrical engineering of our thermal solutions assuring proper functionality in our burner systems
  • Coordinate with the Global Engineering team located in India & China for completion of detailed engineering & design work.
  • Review customer specifications to develop the right technical solution
  • Perform safety analyses and make sure our system is designed according to the applicable regulations (Machinery directive, EN 746-2, NFPA 86, EN60204,…)
  • Designing the electrical control panels with aid of Electrical CAD software
  • Programming PLC software
  • Define and order the required system’s material on time
  • Collaborate with manufacturing and external suppliers and solve electrical issues that arise during manufacturing
  • Lead / coordinate the FAT with the ISC/ customers.
Requirements

Position Requirements:
Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering focused on electrical disciplines, preferably low voltage, control panel design and PLC automation. (A Master’s degree in electrical engineering is a plus).
Experience:
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience is required in the fields of Automation and Control panel desigs
Skills

  • Strong technical affinity is a must
  • Knowledge on design engineering regulations in industrial gas burner applications or the capability to develop this in short period
  • Must be proactive, results oriented, growth and customer focused
  • Experience with CAD is required, preferably Eplan or Autocad Electrical
  • Experience in PLC software design is preferred
  • Proficiency in electrical engineering of industrial machinery is preferred
  • Experience with ERP system is an asset
  • Languages: Dutch and proficiency in English is required. Knowledge of German and French is a plus.
