The Senior Legal Manager EMEA position will act as primary counsel for the EMEA KitchenAid Small Appliances division, working closely with the business team and senior management on a variety of legal matters across the region including commercial, distribution, marketing, ecommerce, pricing and promotions, privacy, regulatory, and compliance and other ongoing operational matters across Europe, Middle East & Africa, as well as collaborating with regional and global legal team members. This is a dynamic and fast paced role with opportunity to help drive business results and product leadership to meet the needs of our consumers while proactively protecting the company on legal and regulatory risks as well as helping to drive process improvement and legal training throughout the organization.

Key Activities and Responsibilities
Serve as a strategic, legal and compliance advisor to the EMEA Kitchenaid leadership team to drive results and protect the Company
Negotiate and advise on a variety of commercial, sales and distribution agreements and competition related matters
Advise on a variety of marketing, ecommerce, privacy, ecommerce, and related matters, including pricing and promotions, product claim development and substantiation, advertising review and consumer protection laws
Draft, review and support in negotiating agreements relating to a wide variety of third party relationships, including but not limited, master service agreements, master commercial agreements, consulting agreements, agreements relating to manufacturing, supply chain and logistics
Assist with labor, corporate governance, and litigation matters as needed from time to time
Identify, develop and implement effective and dynamic legal training, and process to drive education and efficiency across the organization
Manage legal budget and outside counsel
Work effectively with business leaders, including the ability to develop strong internal relationships across various levels of organization to drive results, culture of integrity and values-driven performance and give advice on specific legal matters

Competencies/ Education Requirements/Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Global business is conducted in English; fluency in German or French required; other languages helpful
Qualified lawyer
8-10+ years of relevant post-qualified legal experience with focus on in-house, as well as crossregional experience with emphasis on Belgium, UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Nordic countries
Demonstrated leadership skills including strong character & integrity values, professionalism, and confidence
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) with executives, business clients, and legal staff, being proactive strategic partner
Strong analytical, strategic, organization and management skills, including change management skills to optimize legal support and resources
Ability to work effectively with others and with an appreciation of cultural diversity
Possess keen intellect, and credibility so as to interact effectively and influence management at all levels
Genuine desire to work in an international setting with high level enthusiasm for the diversity of work
