We are currently looking for a Project Manager - Brussels Airport to join our team! The purpose of this position is to lead a major project and deliver best in class solutions to meet customer expectations and within estimated financial performance. Lead the local skills development, information sharing and project management discipline necessary to deliver the Project in a timely manner at planned gross margins or higher. This role will be responsible for delivering an annual revenue of 8 MUSD and will report to the Regional General Manager, with direct and matrix reports of around 15 positions across project management and engineering.

Tasks

  • Overall responsibility for completing the Project a Branch.
  • Ensuring on time delivery of the project, within scope with zero or positive deviation.
  • Lead and manage install operations team in the effective adoption, implementation, and compliance with HBS Global and EMEAI policies, processes, procedures, tools, and business best practices.
  • Maintains customer’s satisfaction at acceptable levels and promptly resolves customer issues.
  • Ownership for the Project financial performance at the District or Branch level. Monitors financial performance monthly and reviews estimates versus actuals across the District or Branch project deck to continuously improve the Project operational metrics.
  • Effectively leads the implementation of productivity enhancing process changes related to the Project delivery.
  • Responsible for driving costs down to be competitive in the marketplace.
  • Controls cost and maximize productivity through the implementation of effective methods and standard processes.
  • Ensures the availability of tools, equipment, and materials required while maintaining and controlling inventory levels.
  • Ensures the Project is resourced properly.
  • Develops effective partnerships with subcontractors to ensure an adequate pool of resources is available. Manages selection and oversight of subcontractors for different jobs in conjunction, where appropriate, with supply team.
  • Participate in estimate review process prior to jobs or contracts being quoted to ensure labor estimates are correct and that the work is achievable from a technical perspective. Ensure that subcontracts, where applicable, are complete and documented.
Requirements

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent technical or management experience required.
  • Significant experience in project management is necessary.
  • Thorough knowledge of Projects field operations and financial processes
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team.
  • The ability to demonstrate energy and determination to achieve results and improvement by overcoming obstacles, remaining effective despite setbacks, and challenging current thinking
  • The ability to engage employees by providing relevant information in a timely manner using clear and compelling messages and by listening to and valuing input from employees.
  • The ability to understand the implications and assess the appropriate degree of acceptable risk and take actions to minimize risk.
  • Excellent written and spoken Dutch, French and English skills are required.
