Description du poste

BESIX ENVIRONMENT is the department of BESIX in charge of process and electromechanical engineering of any water and energy related project. Projects varies from waste water treatment plant, to industrial water, potable water, pumping station, including technologies such as sludge and biogas treatment, etc.. mainly in the role of EPC.

• She/he will work close together with the process team under Process & Engineering Director.
• She/he will work in all stages of a project: tendering, execution, commissioning, start-up, and eventually O&M (during guarantee period or during an O&M contract).
• Participate in feasibility study and conceptual design of waste water and water treatment project as well as other environmental projects (sludge and waste, biogas, Hydrogen, CCU, heat networks, etc.)
• She/he will deal with existing and new technologies.

DETAILS

Tendering

• Process selection (check tender book process or present justified free alternative), compare and suggest process technologies
• Prepare Process Flow Diagram (PFD)
• Prepare / provide calculation of Flow & Mass Balance
• Prepare Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID)
• Provide Process risk assessment

Process calculations & process engineering:

• Process calculations resulting in selection of process parameters and dimensions for all process related structures (volumes, L, W, H, …). The ability to use GPSX and Biowin is a plus
• Prepare process description and functioning indicating required operational parameters: F/M, sludge age, nit. velocity, denit. velocity, sludge production, O2 requirement, required chemicals….)
• Suggestion for main process related equipment & instrumentation: aeration system, mixing system, control instrumentation, … .
• Write up of process control philosophy and functional description
• Propose plant lay-out and conduct hydraulic profile.

Process guarantees & risk / Commissioning & start-up

• Prepare the commissioning plan
• Determination of process guarantees checks.
• Provide Process risk analysis.
• Provide his process know-how to commission and startup plants

Operation & Maintenance:

• calculation of quantity of chemicals (e.g. FeCl3, Cl2, Polymer, …), process water, other consumables,… for O&M period.
• Participate in the HAZOP/SHAZOP/ RAMS analyse

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in the field of waste water treatment plant, industrial water treatment plant and potable water treatment plant as process engineer (tender and / or execution , commissioning)
• Candidate shall be fluent in Dutch and be of minimum B2 level in English and French
• Experience in biogas, sludge treatment is a plus.
• Have a Master degree or Bachelor degree in Biochemistry, chemistry, agricultural or environmental engineering.
• Candidate shall be able to work by himself/herself and work in team
• She/He shall be flexible and able to undertake several tasks or projects at a time.
• She/He shall be flexible to work either in offices or on site (ex: for subcontractor follow-up and commissioning, project start-up, etc).
