Within the business Electrification, the service department Distribution Solutions (ELDS) is responsible for the technical and commercial handling of preventive and corrective maintenance, retrofits and upgrades, inspections and testing, as well as the construction and replacement of existing low and medium voltage installations. Service contracts will take up an increasingly important part of the activities. To strengthen the ELDS team we are looking for a Service Technician. As a Service Technician you have frequent contact with the service coordinator, the work planner, your service technicians colleagues, and the entire Electrification business. Working on electrical installations in low and medium voltage is bound to very strict safety regulations and specifications of both ABB and the customer. You will receive from ABB the necessary safety training and work instructions, which you must strictly follow in all activities.
Your responsibilities
- Independently carry out corrective and preventive maintenance on the technical installations of our clients
- Independently searching for and resolving malfunctions
- The technical execution of changes to existing installations and the conversion of existing installations
- Carrying out tests in order to determine the proper functioning of existing installations
- Assisting in the preparation of commissioning protocols for new installations and for maintenance and testing of existing installations
- Passing on opportunities to the sales team
- Passing on requests for changes to the work ordered by the customer to the service coordinator
- Administrating and reporting of work performed
- Participating in stand-by services, whereby independent interventions should also be carried out for clients outside of working hours.
Your background
- Your background
- (5-8 bullet points) A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Electromechanics or a TSO diploma in Electrical Engineering/Electromechanics with experience
- Electrical engineer with affinity for mechanics
- Able to express yourself fluently in Dutch/French/English
- Flexible, meticulous, you have a great sense of responsibility and safety awareness and the right attitude towards quality
- Problem solver who is able to work independently as well as in a team
- Holding a driving license
