An innovative start-up active in the retail sector is currently looking to hire a Tax Manager for its headquarter based in the Brussels region.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will be responsible for all tax related projects, tax planning and compliance of the group in the framework of its international expansion.

Thanks to your experience in tax, with a focus on indirect tax and good knowledge of accounting, you will be the perfect addition in this fast-growing start-up and will become one of its key employees.

Your main responsibilities as the new Tax Manager will include:

  • Manage all taxes for the company globally
  • Ensuring timely and accurate submission of VAT, Sales Tax and Income Tax returns
  • Ensuring compliance of Import Duties, and maintenance of relevant licenses
  • Define the company’s VAT and Duties structuring to minimise costs and complexity
  • Supporting the business in addressing the tax implications of new initiatives and work closely with the accounting department to implement them
  • Set-up entities globally, manage the group structure and transfer pricing
  • Support the CFO on all tax related projects

Your profile:

  • You are a qualified tax professional with at least 10 years tax experience and a strong experience in Indirect Tax and a good accounting knowledge
  • You have experience in a similar role
  • Experience in developing robust and scalable processes
  • You are fluent in Dutch or French and good knowledge of English
