Technical Writer - Agriculture sector

Technical Writer

The Technical Writer with a mechanical background produces the requested technical documentation, using the expected authoring tools, following the Customer’s standards.

The location is Zedelgem (Belgium),on-site in our technical team of a customer operating in the Agriculture sector.

Main activities:

The Technical Writer in detail is in charge of the following responsibilities and activities:

• Collaborates with the PMO/TC/Graphic Designers to define the internal/external planning of the authoring and graphics flows
• Collects the technical information needed for the authoring of the requested documentation. Such information is gathered from different sources (i.e. technical specifications, technical drawings, 3D models, pneumatic schematics, hydraulic schematics, manufacturer’s system/equipment documentation, physical surveys of procedures/times)
• Performs the contents authoring of the requested documentation, following the indicated standards, using traditional authoring tools
• Verifies the documentation produced internally, following the indicated standards
• When requested, participates in the meetings with the Team

Requisiti:

Requirements:

• Mechanicals, Mechatronics, Automation, or Aeronautics High School Graduation
• Previous experience in the technical authoring field
• Knowledge of traditional authoring applications, such as InDesign, FrameMaker, XPress, etc
• Knowledge of authoring platforms (based on XML)
• Knowledge of the content publication platforms (CMS)
• Knowledge of 3D modeling applications, such as Catia, Solid Works, Pro Engineering, Inventor, Solid Edge, etc
• Knowledge of 3D graphic elaboration applications, such as Catia Composer
• Knowledge of 2D drawing applications, such as AutoCAD
• Knowledge of 2D graphic elaboration applications, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, etc

• Languages: fluent in English, fluent in Flemish , knowledge of the Italian and French language is an advantage
• Availability to travel if it is necessary
• Passion for the agriculture sector
