Spotify’s EU office was established in 2017 and forms a key part of its global Government Affairs function. The EU team leads Spotify’s interactions with European and Member State policymakers, civil society, and industry on policy and regulatory issues that matter to Spotify’s business, its culture and values.

Who You Are

• The Technology Director will be an active member of Spotify’s Global Government Affairs team, liaising with Spotify’s engineering and business teams while driving Spotify’s tech policy agenda around the world, with a focus on Europe.
• Candidates should have a detailed knowledge of digital technology, services, and infrastructure, including artificial intelligence, data, and security. Experience dealing with regulation affecting technology, and interacting with policy-makers is important. A positive attitude, team spirit and a sense of humour are also crucial to thrive at Spotify.
  
  

What You’ll Do

• 10 years experience in technology infrastructure and services
• Ideally technology background (engineering or IT)
• Experience in dealing with regulation
• General knowledge of tech policy (platform policy, data & AI policy, content moderation, interoperability issues), and ability to explain clearly complex technology issues
• Strong communications skills & attention to detail
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively with governmental and non-governmental stakeholders
• Ability to work independently/ self-starter in a fast-paced, multicultural environment
• Full English proficiency, additional languages an asset
• A university degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics or related field
