Function

For one of our agile software teams in Barco Software group, we are looking for a Test Engineer with an affinity for test automation to help us bring our top-of-the-line products to an even higher quality standard. This team is responsible for developing and maintaining multiple products, from diagnostic applications to fleet management applications for both Cinema and Immersive Experiences.


Within the Cinema Business Unit, we bring the experience of moviegoers to the next level. We develop world-leading laser-based projectors, including state of the art media servers.


At Barco IX (Immersive Experiences), we shape immersive experiences together by embracing the creative power of technology. We enable what has never been done before to immerse our audiences in experiences they will never forget. The markets our immersive experience technologies are used in range from live events to theme parks and museums and even flight simulators.


Key responsibilities

  • You execute and define tests within a complex system setting (hardware, software, local devices, and cloud components)
  • You assist the development team with troubleshooting and reproducing issues.
  • You document test cases and their results in a structured way.
  • Ensure traceability between requirements/stories and test cases
  • You find and develop ways to further increase our test coverage together with the team.
  • You look for ways to further improve and automate our testing methods.

Your profile

  • You can grasp system complexity and logically understand the components and how they interact.
  • You have a software or IT background.
  • You like to work with others to solve problems and to improve processes.
  • You have no problem networking and collaborating with other teams throughout the company.
  • You can work in close collaboration with the team, our product owner and product manager and like to share your ideas and knowledge.
  • You like to analyze problems and find bugs.
  • You like to take initiative.
  • You have good knowledge of spoken and written English.
  • Experience with scripting is a plus.
  • You have experience and understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
