Job Description:
Do you find testing much more than just running test scripts? Are you strong enough in your shoes and do you like to talk to the business? Is planning and following up on that schedule very common for you? Then you are the person we are looking for!
As a test engineer, you will be part of the Data & Analytics team. The Scrum team is working on the development of the CIVL Enterprise Data Warehouse. CIVL is new and built according to modern architectural principles. It works with Data Vault Modeling and with dimensional modeling. Your focus is on testing during implementation. In addition, you support the Scrum team with technical tests. The business relies on you to coordinate the UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and to coach and support the acceptance testers.
Responsibilities
• You are responsible for setting up and maintaining an internal test model.
• You perform tests to check the ETL flows.
• You build data sources in Tableau for user validations and testing.
• You draw up a detailed test schedule.
• You support the user testers and coordinate the UAT tests.
• You assess the test work carried out and check whether the delivery meets the acceptance criteria.
• You inform the stakeholders about the progress and results of the test assignments.
• You identify risks in a timely manner during your work and report on them.
Skills
• You obtained a master’s degree or can equate this with experience.
• You can present at least 2 years of experience in a test and/or development
• You have experience with software testing.
• You have experience in data warehouse environments or experience with testing in an environment where data is sometimes the end product (e.g. application migrations).
• You have a good knowledge of SQL, preferably in an Oracle environment.
• Pluses:
• Experience with or knowledge of Tortoise SVN and/or GIT;
• Knowledge of Data Vault modeling and 3NF modeling, and a good knowledge of dimensional modeling;
• Experience with an ETL automation tool;
• Experience with Zephyr Scale;
• Experience in the banking world.
