Valeo’s VIE Program?

The Valeo VIE Program is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28. This program is to work for one of our subsidiaries around the world!

Business France, the French agency for international business development, is in charge of all the administrative procedures of your assignment. Make sure you meet Business France’s eligibility criteria to apply for a VIE : https://mon-vievia.businessfrance.fr/

The site of Meslin l’Evêque (45 min from Lille and close to Bruxelles) in Belgium, is looking for a VIE within the Purchasing department, composed of Project Buyers and Productivity Buyers (running lights activity). Under the supervision of the Site Purchasing Manager, you act as a Project Buyer from 12 months to 24 months. Financial support for accommodation is feasible. Also, a recruitment post-VIE is possible. Note that it is preferable to have a car license.

Your challenges?

• You promote the integration of suppliers in projects in order to optimize QCDI and non-recurring costs
• You ensure compliance of the segment strategy throughout the supplier selection process for all Businesses won
• You participate in meetings and project activities (launch, supply plan, technical committee, management committee) and support site tenders;
• You support the project manager for the preparation of the supply plan in order to define the mutual commitments and the conditions for proceeding to a call for tenders, an appointment, and a standard operating procedure
• You identify the critical parts and define an emergency plan with the project managers concerned
• You select supplier offers based on the Segment panel and liaise with the Project team and the Segment team to identify opportunities
• You ensure the timely approval of all supplier contracts related to the project (from development contracts to mass production)
• You ensure the transfer to series production
  

Let’s talk about you…

• You are graduated from a Purchasing degree (Engineer diploma or Business School or University)
• You already have experience in this field (at least 1 year)
• You have a fluent level of English
• You have good negotiation skills, have an international mindset and are open-minded to new cultures and new ways of working and thinking
• You are humble, listening, positive attitude oriented, professional, and have the sense of diplomacy
• Knowledge of SAP is a plus
