For one of our clients, we are looking for a laboratory technician I for an early shift from 6:00 am to 2pm and a late shift from 1:30 pm to 10pm

Responsibilities:

· Assist Technician II and III during experiments;

· Prepare synthesis plates to be ready for synthesis (washing, drying, fritting and loading membranes);

· Perform quality control checks;

· Optical density measurements;

· Dispose failing fractions;

· Perform lab cleaning and decontamination protocols;

· Keep the lab orderly and functional;

· Keep all the reagent and water bottles at levels to achieve successful operation;

· Change waste containers and dispose of waste material;

· Keep stock levels sufficient in the lab

· Assist with general laboratory maintenance;

· Maintain accurate and detailed product & instrument records;

· Communicate with all levels of peers and management;

· Perform other duties as specified by management;

· Report any problems to Management.

Profile:

· High-school degree (a science related field is a plus) or equivalent job experience;

· Knowledge of internet, Microsoft word and Microsoft Excel;

· Be punctual and maintain a high level of organization;

· Be able to troubleshoot problems and act accordingly;

· Be able to be on feet for a few hours at a time;

· Able to adapt to changes in the process;

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment;

· Able to work in a group or independently;

· Able to read, write and speak in English fluently. Other languages are a plus;

· Able to work 40 hours per week.
