We are currently looking for a Lead Accountantto join a company active in the supplier industrylocated in Gent.

This fast-growing and international company provides innovative softwares solutions to its clients. This company is currently looking for a Lead Accountantto take responsibilities for the accounting from A to Z for 6 entities. You will also have the opportunity to manage and support the Belgian accounting team. Innovative and experienced, will give you the opportunity to improve ongoing processes while giving your opinion and expertise on the overall department organization.

What you will be responsible for:

As a Lead Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a team and acting as its reference in the daily accounting tasks
  • Ensuring and supervising all closings processes and delivering annual accounts
  • Taking care of consolidation
  • Following-up of intercompany reconciliations, payments and transactions
  • Auditing and reporting
  • Occupying a leading role in tax processes

The profile our client is looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting. A Master’s degree is a plus
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in an A to Z accounting position. You have a first experience in the management of a small team
  • You speak Dutch and English fluently
  • IT minded, you can quickly acquainted yourself with ERP’s
  • Working on new projects and optimizing ongoing processes is your passion
  • You are ambitious and you always want to make the difference
