For our plant based in Malmedy, Belgium, we are looking for a Maintenance Engineer

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support factory automation and modernization projects
  • Manage and plan projects in automation and industrial IT
  • Study the technical solutions from the study of the need to the final proposal
  • Study and analyze existing processes and production data
  • Perform measurements and ensure the implementation of new processes
  • Perform risk assessments
  • Develop your knowledge in order to position yourself as an expert in your field of specialization and on the technologies used
  • Actively support the optimization of automation processes
  • Support, through your specialized knowledge, the maintenance team during complex problems
  • Monitor and make existing or new installations more reliable (regarding interruptions, costs, etc.)
  • Work in close collaboration with different departments and consult permanently with them
  • Aimed to take the lead of the Maintenance & Investment Team within the 2 coming years

Qualifications

Education, Qualifications and Skills Required

  • Civil or industrial engineering degree (BAC+5, BAC+4)
  • Significant experience in automation is essential
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Objective-oriented work methodology with a methodical, structured approach aimed at continuous improvement
  • Mastery of the use of software deployed for automated equipment (PLC, microcontroller, etc.)
  • Know and respect the quality / environment / safety procedures relating to the position
  • Very good nowledge of French and English
  • Knowledge of ABB systems is a plus
