Job Summary

This position is accountable for the overall integrated Project Portfolio Management process and governance across the MedTech Regional Supply Chains & Global Plan organization. He / she will define, deploy, shape and govern the portfolio management process including associated tools for the MedTech Regional SC & Plan team. This will drive a project portfolio which is closely aligned to the strategic vision, mission and objectives of the organization.

In parallel he/she will assume accountability to drive and collaborate on the design, definition, and execution of strategic and transformational concepts for the MedTech Regional SC & Global Plan organization. He/she will work closely with stakeholders and functions across the entire MedTech organization to ensure efficient and effective implementation of strategic programs.

In addition, this role will help transform / standardize underlying business processes and ensure their integration. The person in this role will demonstrate strong experience in supply chain, planning systems / capabilities, end to end thinking, digital acumen and ensure proper linkages to partner functions

This position will report to the MedTech Director Project Portfolio Management & Strategic Projects.

Duties & Responsibilities

The MedTech Strategic Project & Portfolio Sr Manager is responsible to:
  • Successful deploy strategic projects within his / her scope.
  • Lead a team of project managers to deploy strategic projects.
  • Develop & deploy a robust and innovative project portfolio management process and supporting tools for MedTech Regional SC and global plan.
  • Drive optimization of the digital portfolio to minimize duplicate efforts, optimize costs and resources and maximize benefits while maturing digital capabilities.
  • Drive project prioritization based on business strategies and objectives, available investment budgets and resource availability. Prioritize digital innovation pipeline of opportunities.
  • Ensure all stakeholders are aligned to the prioritized project portfolio.
  • Partner with franchise and regional PMO’s, Finance and IT, and connected councils (e.g. digital council).
  • Provide overall budget and budget adherence visibility across this scope.
  • Identify and deploy key emerging digital technologies to better manage the project portfolio.
  • Establish strong alignment and linkages to partner functions such as J&J Technology (JJT), D&DS, Commercial, Enterprise Supply Chain, & Regional Value Chains.

Education

Qualifications
  • Masters in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Operations or equivalent experience.
  • MBA preferred.
  • FPX PL or PMP Certification required, FPX SME preferred.
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Other certifications in areas of expertise desirable

Experience
  • Minimum of 8-10 years experience working in Supply Chain / Operations to drive business process improvement.
  • Demonstrated outstanding strategic planning skills.
  • Strong people management and development skills.5 + years of experience required.
  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain interactions and interdependencies with other functions, including end Customer touchpoints.
  • Experience in the Medical Device industry is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience working Globally, strong team leadership skills for multi-
  • regional teams.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in leadership roles within Operations/Supply Chain (or supporting function such as IT).
  • Experience working with virtual teams and matrix organizations.
  • Global experience (with multiple countries, regions) and associated cultural awareness required.

  • Strong background / experience in Supply Chain Planning processes and systems is required.
  • Strong digital acumen required.
  • Demonstrated project management experience required.
  • Strong influencing role and stakeholder management skills.
  • Disciplined in execution and attention for detail.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, excellent communication and presentation skills. Strength in interdependent partnering and team management.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and work in a matrix environment where priorities change rapidly, and tight deadlines exist.
  • Clear understanding of external Supply Chain trends and emerging best practices.
  • Understanding of PLAN processes and supporting technologies in other industries.
  • Ability for strong partnering and understanding of Planning support needs of the Enterprise and business segments.
  • Ability to embed a culture of harmonization and standard process improvement and value creation across the MedTech franchises

Preferred locations: Bridgewater, New Jersey; Switzerland; Belgium

Travel Requirements: 20-30 % international travel
