Trinseo Belgium B.V. is looking for a

Manufacturing and Logistics Improvement Engineer (m/f/d)

The Manufacturing and Logistics Improvement Engineer focus on improvement of asset utilization by using the asset utilization workflow. He/she has thorough process and product knowledge to be able to identify, validate and implement projects.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for defining the scope and approach of the project, the design and timing, the impact and cost estimates, and finally the implementation and validation phase of the project.
  • Ownership of plant capital and the successful delivery of capital projects.
  • Lead investigations and safety meetings and be responsible for specific plant safety programs.
  • Plant engineering SME with full knowledge of the improvement process and a proven track record in plant optimization.
  • Leading and coordinating capital expenditure and negotiating with the business for capital. Involved in cost reduction projects and participates in Root Cause Investigations (RCI).
  • Identify opportunities, prioritize (with plant), develop and implement medium sized, medium to complex capital improvement or plant optimization projects.
  • Implement MET during the course of the project in corporation with the Tech Centre.
  • Perform effective financial analysis for projects.
  • Manages a logistics team and is responsible for packaging and shipping finished product to customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or applied science
  • Motivated to be involved in projects up to approximately $300K
  • Work independently to apply applicable technology improvements
  • An independent way of working is required and close co-operation with colleagues and managers
  • Decide on process improvement changes to be made using cost impact assessments
  • Able to track, record and proactively resolve/troubleshoot simple, non-complex problems with minimal support from others.
