What will you do :

- Determine, establish and implement the required machining processes to produce proto parts for :

new/existing CVT transmissions and

new project developments ( DT1, DT2, EV, Advanced Development)

- Carrying out feasibility studies of prototype parts + providing feedback to the construction/development department

- Based on 2D/3D CAD files of the prototype parts:

Establishing the machining process together with the choice of the machines to be used

Development, creation and purchase of fixtures and tooling

Determine and purchase specific tools

Setting up tools and tooling and managing them in Windchill

Drawing up the machining programmes via Creo Cad/Cam software (via post processes of this CAM software for the various machining centres)

Setting up the processes on the various CNC machines (turning, 5-axis milling, internal and external grinding, wire sparking, sinking)

Editing of the prototype parts on the various CNC machines together with the CNC operator, measuring of the prototype parts on the various measuring machines, correction of deviations

- Supervising internal and external machine take-offs and processes

- Developing and researching new alternative production techniques for the manufacture of the proto-parts (3D printing, Invo milling of gears, leakage testing, gear skiving, additive manufacturing.....)

Profile

- Master’s degree in (electro-) mechanical engineering or equivalent through experience.

- You have 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.

- Good knowledge of CNC machines with their specific controls (Siemens, Fanuc, ....).

- Good knowledge of specific Cad/Cam software (Creo, Esprit, AutoCad...).

- Good knowledge of materials + associated machining parameters.

- Knowledge of machining tools + follow up of new developments within this field

- Knowledge of assembly techniques, hardening techniques, wire sparking, grinding processes

- Good communication skills (internal and external customers and clients), team player
