Agfa HealthCare is looking for talented Market & Competitive Intelligence Analyst to strengthen our global Strategy, Marketing & Communication team.
As a Market & Competitive Intelligence Analyst you will supervise the data collection and analysis of market, customer, business and competitive insights, to help drive data driven decisions that help develop portfolio, marketing and sales strategies and help solve business critical questions. Doing so, you will gain exposure across the Agfa HealthCare company and build a broad understanding of the organization’s products, services, markets and customers and the company distinctive competencies.
This is a Belgian or UK-based position, office-based, hybrid or home-based.
The Market & Competitive Intelligence Analyst reports to Global Head of Strategy, Marketing and Communications.
As a Market & Competitive Intelligence Analyst you are responsible for:
Supporting the strategy formulation process of the company:
- monitoring market, competition and sales data
- assisting management in identifying areas in the market where business can be developed and in strategy formulation.
Supporting the market sizing & forecasting process:
- gather and analyze market trends and data – internal and external -, and triangulate sources,
- develop market model and forecast based on well-defined assumptions, issue regional overview and per key geographies
- issue split per customer segments,
- map spend per product & service lines, per revenue streams and anticipate business model switch.
Driving the competitive intelligence process:
- studying competitors’ product offerings, financial statements, roadmaps and strategies
- monitoring digital activities such as ads, social media communications, Linkedin and job posts in order to obtain valuable insights as well as physical events and trade shows
- issuing cross-competitor analysis
- issuing regular battlecards and enable sales
- conducting on demand in-depth analysis of specific competitors
- assessing new entrants
- continuously monitor competition, and either proactively distributes alerts or reports, or reactively answer to ad hoc requests (typically pre-filtered by management).
Driving the win & loss analysis process
- company-wide, per regions and segments
- at the level of selected win and/or loss files, gathering and using information on factors that affect the company’s competitive advantage, and issue recommendations for product, services, marketing or sales strategy adjustments
Supervising the subscription to market & competitive platforms and/or research performed by outside agencies, ensuring adherence to budget and compliance with scope, quality and time requirements.
Building and maintaining close working relationships with marketing and sales and ensure that market and competitive intelligence is provided.
Ensuring strong interlocks with the relevant functions,and specifically product management and services, and supervises joint efforts and dependencies.
Experience:
- Healthcare IT experience, ideally within the software arena
- At least five years of hands-on experiences as business and competitive intelligence analyst
Education:An ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in business, health or IT science or a related field with a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role.
Management and people skills:
- A people-person with strong organisation, program management, time management, inter-personal and communications skills (oral/written) to interact effectively and professionally with both internal and external stakeholders, and at all levels
- Strong business and commercial acumen; be comfortable with day-to-day, upstream & downstream marketing activities, as well as long-term strategy and tactics.
- Demonstrated skills to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously and manage time-sensitive priorities and changing needs
- Ability to work under deadline pressure and extra hours if needed on assignments.
- Demonstrated self-motivation in work habits to self-manage day-to-day work.
Business analyst skills
- Ability to gather, analyze, and use information collected on competitors, customers, and other market factors that contribute to a business’s competitive advantage
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent English grammar and writing abilities. Other languages of Europe is a plus.
- Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, share point, etc.), CRM
