What’s the scope?

This role manages the entire marketing operations and creative services department and is responsible for the delivery/production and implementation of critical marketing creative assets in a cost-effective way to support the achievement of business objectives and support the brand health growth of Lee and Wrangler in EMEA.

Our Marketing Director Operations & Creatives Services EMEAwill define and manage the brand marketing calendar from Kontoor brands’ pov, ensuring that it is always aligned with the business’s overall goals and the individual brand marketing calendars and will be responsible for the smooth functioning and consistent optimization of the marketing function, following the consumer journey. An important additional dimension for EMEA, is also to develop a coherent ‘dual brand’ marketing strategy and implementation across channels where our brands show up at the same time next to each other, still aligned and respecting each brands’ positioning, strategies and business objectives.

This role has direct responsibility over the creation and the execution of the yearly country marketing plans. And will deliver key insights and recommendations that optimize the performance of marketing programs, managing and inspiring a team to ensure that our initiatives are seamlessly executed and highly effective.

Finally this role will support the Regional marketing strategy for Lee and Wrangler in line with the overall brands strategy.

As our Marketing Directoryou will:

  • Partner with Brand merchandising & marketing, Sales, and DTC leadership to define and maintain a rolling 12-month, monthly initiative calendar that will form the basis for scheduling the design, development, and delivery of creative assets for use in digital and physical stores and digital media environments, supplied by Creative Services team.
  • Establish and implement a centrally-managed process that supports 100% of the Lee and Wrangler brands’ requirements as defined in the above rolling 12-month, monthly initiative calendar to achieve “on time” and “on brief” deliver of requirements
  • Establish and maintain the appropriate network of external creative partnerships that complements the internal capability to meet 100% of the Lee and Wrangler brands’ creative services, VM and in store design requirements
  • Ensure best-in-class execution of in-store POS materials and other retail requirements supporting the brand strategy and channel segmentation principles of each brand. Leverage available channel/store/account shopper insights to elevate/accelerate shopper conversion
  • Manage the local Marketing Managers in defining the Country Marketing strategy to achieve the defined goals by setting detailed financial targets per country and defining an action plan which will enable Lee and Wrangler to become dominant brands.
  • Oversee the PR & Events strategy and execution for Lee and Wrangler
  • Enable a “servant leader” culture for the Marketing Operations & Creative Services team through the appropriate mix of coaching, training, peer-to-peer sharing, and personal bonding with the relevant brand, sales, and DTC leadership
  • Ignite and maintain a relentless focus on business outcomes and consumer/shopper behavior within the Marketing Operations team and champion consumer insights throughout the organisation to ensure sustainable growth of the business and optimal brand equity

Skills for Success:

  • 10+ years’ experience in business/marketing/management, preferably in a role with EMEA focus/scope
  • 5+ years’ experience managing a team
  • Deep understanding and passion for Denim/fashion industry
  • Master Degree in Marketing/Communication or equivalent working experience
  • Fluent English, any other European language is a plus
  • Ability to manage complex projects across various groups and priorities.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups and individuals of all levels of management and employees.
  • Ability to prioritize, lead and inspire a team to achieve its goals.
  • Analytical and Creative: You combine analysis with innovation, and love diving into data to surface key insights, and then using those to improve results and innovate performance.
