In other words, we need you : The ‘make-it-happeners’.We are looking for an internationalMarketing Headto join our Headquarter Commercial Strategy leadership team.Scope of the jobThe Marketing Head will be leading the full marketing team of our first product in Galapagos and will be a key member in the Headquarter Commercial Strategy leadership team at Galapagos. He/She will be responsible for developing and implementing the brand and marketing strategy for all the core indications of our first product that are launched or will be launched in the next years.The Marketing Head will report to the VP Commercial Strategy and Execution and will work in partnership with the commercial, market access, medical, and development colleagues. Together you will ensure seamless launch execution that is in line with business strategy and goals.Your role
  • Lead and own actively the development of the integrated cross functional brand strategy
  • Lead the marketing tactical planning and its implementation
  • Lead the development of the marketing content plan and creatives including campaigns resulting into commercial competitive success
  • Prepare GLPG for a successful launch of new future indications.
  • Collaborate with insights team on the set up of the right market analysis to collect all relevant strategic information
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Commercial Operations to successfully implement and manage all Go-To-Market activities
  • Support countries with coordination of the localization and customization of materials including running campaigns
  • Demonstrate strong marketing functional competence as well as strong analytical capabilities and sound, broader strategic business judgment.
  • Be known as one of the “go-to” Marketing person within Galapagos for commercial and strategic insights
  • Build effective and productive internal relationships within Galapagos in all disciplines; R&D, development and shared services
  • Be able to represent Galapagos externally
  • Manage a team of 5-10 people
Who are you ?
  • At least 10 years of marketing/brand management experience in a pharmaceutical/biotech with HQ relevant experience
  • Experience in successful product launches in a very competitive environment
  • Inflammation experience is a strong asset
  • Proven ability to analyse markets and competition
  • Familiar with health economics and pricing strategy.
  • Good knowledge of regulatory and medical processes.
  • A multitasker keeping his/her cool when confronted with large amounts of work in a challenging and changing/agile environment
  • Experienced in successful cross-functional teamwork
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop an innovative marketing team
