Overview

As a Mechanical Construction Manager, you will be pivotal in overseeing and directing construction projects from conception to completion. You will review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs, while managing all onsite and offsite construction activities to ensure compliance with building and safety regulations. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and industry experts to successfully deliver a cutting-edge Data Centre.

Responsibilities

  • Determine project schedule needs and support the development of detailed schedules and 12-week lookaheads
  • Report on site progress and highlight potential issues or roadblocks to the Main Contractor and Contracts Manager
  • Conduct regular safety and quality walks, reporting findings to the site supervisor for resolution
  • Lead commissioning activities, ensuring timely completion and follow-up on outstanding actions

Skills & Requirements

  • 10+ years’ experience in construction management or senior supervision, including pharmaceutical projects
  • Proven leadership of large teams (up to 10 supervisors and 100 craft personnel) with strong reporting skills
  • Deep technical knowledge of piping systems, including installation, welding, testing, and hygienic piping
  • Familiarity with Navisworks, isometric drawings, and workpack tracking
  • Strong project scheduling and commercial awareness
  • Solid understanding of construction health and safety practices and compliance
  • Third-level qualification in Construction or Mechanical Engineering preferred
