  • Context

As Network Engineer, you are responsible of the following tasks: Identify malfunctioning hard- and software to implement necessary corrective actions, resolve technical issues, provide ongoing support to users of operational MADAP networks and non-operational OFFICE network; Perform primary network system administration on network & IT Network Security equipment; Assist in the design, development, configuration, installation and maintenance of network systems; Conduct analysis and tests of network systems to document findings and ensure efficiency; Create utilities for the purpose of automating repetitive and daily routines; Implement new network operating systems and application software to ensure compliance with licensing, patches and updates according to vendor and/or IT security guidelines; Monitor LAN/WAN Infrastructure to measure performance and/or ensure the secure and reliable operation of all MADAP networks and its Network Security Infrastructure; Draft TE2 documentation, e.g., build state documents, test documentation, version documentation, baseline documentation, in accordance with the Maastricht Management System; Perform other related duties, as assigned, to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the network team functioning.

  • Main competencies

o Experience in upgrading and converting firewall platforms from Checkpoint and Fortinet.
o Detailed knowledge of data communication protocols, routing, switching proven (at least 2 practical cases as an example).
o Knowledge of Quality of Service and experience in designing/implementing QoS in an enterprise environment (at least 1 practical case as ex.).
o At least a 1-year experience in a project environment, quality/security standards, configuration management and tools.
