As a Network and Security Engineer based in Brussels, Belgium, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and expanding ICT network and security solutions for top enterprise clients. You will implement new technologies and system expansions, working with a multidisciplinary team of experts. The role requires extensive experience in large environments, with certifications in CCNP, Checkpoint Professional, and preferably F5. The position involves a 2-day on-site, 3-day remote work schedule and on-call availability every 6-7 weeks.
Key Responsibilities
Support, maintain, and expand existing ICT network and security solutions for enterprise customers.
Implement new technologies, evolutions, and system expansions to meet client needs.
Ensure on-call availability for 1 week every 6-7 weeks.
Work in a hybrid schedule (2 days on-site, 3 days remote).
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of technology experts to deliver solutions across multiple sites in Belgium.
Qualifications
Certifications: CCNP and Checkpoint (Professional); F5 certification highly recommended.
Experience with Cisco CCNP routing & switching, Cisco Nexus, Cisco routers and switches, and Juniper JunOS.
Deep understanding of switching protocols (Spanning-Tree, VLANs, dot1q trunking) and security devices (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, Axs Guard, Infoblox).
Experience with F5 Big IP (LTM, APM, ASM) and Bluecoat proxies.
