Function

Our Healthcare R&D team is looking for an NPI Project Manager to strenghten the team!

As a project manger, you’ll have the end-to-end project management responsibility from the business case approval to the release for mass production. You successfully manage your projects within the agreed specifications, schedule and budget. As the primary interface between all involved stakeholders, you organize all project communication & coordination. You remain in the lead for cross-functional resolution in case of major issues after product release.

In this position you will report to the R&D Manager of the Surgical / Modality team

Key Responsibilities
  • You manage the project schedule for each stage gate, from business case approval to product release
  • You manage the project budget, including development effort and project expenses, within set target
  • You follow-up on product cost within set targets
  • You manage product specifications, reproducibility and product quality
  • You coordinate the project team, involving R&D development engineers and delegates from other contributing departments such as procurement, operations, supply chain, quality, service
  • You follow up the project status and communicate status and KPI’s to all relevant stakeholders
  • You initiate corrective actions and ensuring proper escalation when needed
  • You manage project scope and project risks

Your profile
  • You hold a higher degree, ideally in a technical domain
  • You combine this with 5 years or more professional project management experience, ideally in a technical environment
  • You have good analytical skills, are well-organized and like to take initiative
  • You have good communication & presentation skills (written & spoken in English)
  • Your stakeholder management skills enable to work cross-functionally & cross-culture
  • You are open to travel occassionally (R&D teams in Belgium, Italy, China)
