Mission Statement

We are looking for a highly motivated Plant Engineer. In this role you will contribute to the success of Buckman EMENA by improving operational excellence and achievement of manufacturing’s overall objectives through leading the maintenance department, driving a continuous improvement culture, implementing industrial projects, managing our chemical manufacturing plant’s electrical and mechanical systems. You will identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to achieve business excellence.

Expectations for the role
  • Lead and coach the maintenance team.
  • Ensure the mechanical and electrical systems of our chemical manufacturing plant work efficiently and are in full compliance with the necessary regulation and Buckman global standards.
  • Implement and review industrial projects ensuring that timelines, scope and budget are respected.
  • Collaborate with the global Repair & Maintenance teams by providing advice and guidelines in the long-term maintenance strategy moving to Total Productive Maintenance concept.
  • Driving contractor’s compliance in the workplace to minimize/eliminate risks.
  • Drive the implementation of preventive maintenance tasks through the maintenance team to ensure that machinery and processes are safe.
  • Improve plant efficiency by eliminating the risk of mechanical or electrical systems failure.
  • Assist maintenance team in carrying out safety and quality procedures so that everyone on the team is compliant with the appropriate regulations.
  • Effectively drive the 5 years Capex plan for the manufacturing plant and offices.
  • Driving continuous improvement in the production plant.
  • Work in close collaboration with the production manager to ensure production continuity.
Minimum Requirements To Apply
  • Master’s degree in Mechanical, electrical or Chemical Engineering;
  • Minimum 2 years’ related experience plant engineering or maintenance management in a manufacturing plant;
  • Experience in project engineering implementation;
  • Good knowledge of maintenance management;
  • Team player with strong mechanical abilities and excellent diagnostic skills;
  • Advanced relationship building skills and communication;
  • IT/Computer skills (MS Office, ERP).
