About the Unit

Information Technology continues on its transformation journey, enabling Yara’s growth, value creation and digital ambitions through deeper business/IT collaboration, a new S/4 HANA ERP, a faster and more agile IT.

As part of Information Technology, the IT Application Production Unit develops and maintains a portfolio of solutions, based on SAP and other technologies, connected to the next business areas: maintenance and reliability, HESQ production, on-site logistics, production execution, engineering and digital production.

About the Position

To support Yara operational excellence program in the maintenance & reliability area, the IT Application Production Unit is looking for a Plant Maintenance Application Expert to further develop, improve and deploy Yara asset maintenance and reliability solutions based on SAP and other integrated technologies. The position will embrace functional expertise and delivery responsibilities as part of BAU and projects oriented activities. The position will also be connected to the S/4 HANA transformation journey.

Main Responsibilities

• Key expert interface between business and IT in the management of the Yara asset management solutions, mainly based on SAP.
• Engagement and collaboration with business stakeholders. Advise on business requirements and usage of the solutions. Actively contribute to related processes / solutions standardization and optimization. Translate into functional and technical specs.
• Design, plan and execute functional/technical changes through BAU releases or as part of projects. Hands on configuration, solution quality control, testing and documentation.
• Lead small projects or contribute as expert to large projects connected to your expertise area.
• Drive external IT suppliers and liaise with other internal IT teams, ensuring E2E delivery in budget, quality, governance and SLA.
• Deploy and manage outsourced application services related to incident management and request fulfilment. Act as level 3 expert. Focus on continuous solution improvement and “clean” solution.
• Support business change management. Contribute to training content and conduct training / webinars.
• Work closely with IT domain architect, contributing to the global solution roadmap, design authority and change control of the solution template.

Education

• Degree, preferably Master (minimum Bachelor), within Business Administration / Engineering / Computer Science with minimum 4 years relevant professional experience. Long relevant experience may compensate for lack of formal education.

Skills

• Minimum 2 years experience as SAP plant maintenance functional analyst.
• Expertise in other SAP modules (Asset Management, PS, MOC, DMS, MM) and other asset management non SAP applications will be highly appreciated.
• Good general process knowledge in maintenance/reliability within large industrial / chemical companies.
• Combined knowledge and interest mix between business process, technology and service delivery.
• Ability to assess business requirements, design solutions, produce functional / technical analysis, implement and test solutions.
• Experience in ITIL, service delivery, service outsourcing and project management are a plus.
• Strong analytical skills combined with good level of communication, coordination and training skills.
• Ability to work independently, defining targets and prioritizing tasks in a demanding environment.
• Leadership, structured, customer service minded, team-player, proactive and highly committed.

Other

• Language: English (fluent written and spoken). Other European languages are a plus.
• Comfortable in working in a multi-cultural, multi-language environment.
• Full time equivalent function.

• Working location: ideally out of Oslo / Brussels IT office but other locations in Western Europe also possible.
• Part time home working possibility.
• Require some travel mobility.
