For our customer, one of the world’s leading glazing manufacturers who has developed a large portfolio of products for the automotive, marine, mass transit, and military markets, we are looking for a Process Engineer.

Purpose:

You own the Manufacturing Process

You ensure the efficient implementation and handover of new equipment to Operations

You drive the continuous improvement of Product and Processes (Quality, Productivity, and Cost)

Responsibilities:

-You work in cross-disciplinary teams in new launches, at all stages of the project, to ensure optimal line design and production concept for handover to Operations;

-You participate in Quality Systems and Continuous Improvement projects (eg. Failure analyses, Capacity increase, etc.) and drive the implementation of process solutions and Lessons Learned;

-You monitor and analyze performance KPIs - such as OEE, Yield, Flowrate, Downtime, Defects, and Deviations - identify the root causes of issues impacting those KPI’s and execute actions to address and eliminate negative effects;

-You prepare Work Instructions and Train Key Operators and Personnel.

Profile

-University (Engineering / Applied Sciences)

-Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar position Automotive (Process, Manufacturing, Operations, or Industrial Engineering);

-Practical experience with FMEA, MSA, SPC, 8D, Lean Manufacturing (VSM, SMED, 5S, 8 wastes, workload balancing, ergonomics), Time and Motion / Cycle Time Studies;

-Product Line Launch and experience a strong asset;

-Full MS Office proficiency necessary; SAP, PDM, and PLM systems knowledge an asset

-Full working proficiency in English a must;

-Mandatory Soft skills: Proactive, go-to, hands-on attitude; analytical thinking and problem-solving mindset; time and task management; drive to strive;
