30 different products for one customer - including solutions, visco-elastics and ointments, for which your role is key to guarantee a successful collaboration for routine operations and projects.

As the first point of contact for a key customer you’re responsible for building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships. Together with the PMO team in Switzerland, you’ll also responsible, to guarantee that Novartis Puurs knows what to produce for this customer both short term and long term. Next to the operational questions and challenges, you’ll run projects between Novartis Puurs and this key customer.

Your responsibilities:
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Operating as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your customer These can be situated in several domains: Supply chain, Finance, QA, Investments
  • You ensure a correct answer on questions raised by them by consulting the right departments within Novartis Puurs.
  • Overseeing customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to improve profit.
  • Driving alignment within the whole organization to implement a customer based mode of operation for delivering the right service at the right cost
  • Prepare the weekly Supply chain meeting. During this meeting, all detailed questions from your customer are handled. Your role exists in preparing this meeting by collecting the answers from the different departments and follow up on actions defined during the meeting
  • Prepare the monthly S&OP meeting, this includes:
  • Collect statuses from different departments working for Alcon
  • Reporting on volumes that Novartis Puurs will produce for Alcon (gating plan volumes)
  • Calculate KPI’s on plant performance
  • Lead & follow up on projects between Novartis Puurs & your customer, ensure that both parties are aligned on projects that will be executed in collaboration with each other:
  • Responding on the initial request from the customer on new projects
  • Bring together the involved departments in one meeting
  • Initiate, compile and have the work requests signed
  • Initiate invoicing
  • Follow up on statuses work requests
Minimum Requirements

What you’ll bring to the role:
  • Bachelor or master degree in a scientific or economic field.
  • Experience in project management with budget responsibility preferably in an international company.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Know how to influence in a matrix-organization.
  • Playing an integral role in new business pitches.
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written).

  • Desirable requirements:
    • Experience in Manufacturing
    • Knowledge of Dutch
