Job Description

As a key member of our Hard Side Design team in a multinational setting, you will be instrumental in driving all stages of the product development process from concept through to production. You will foster strong relationships with Product Managers, the Product Development team, external suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Concept to Prototype: Translate conceptual ideas into preliminary design prototypes, ensuring sketches, mock-ups, prototypes, and supporting materials are available on time for design, development, and marketing teams.
• Innovation and NPD Projects: Contribute to both long-term innovation projects and shorter-term New Product Development projects.
• Creative Development: Create and generate new product concepts, design styles, color palettes, graphics, illustrations, and materials based on marketing briefs dedicated to hard side and hybrid solutions.
• Research and Innovation: Continuously investigate innovative ideas, materials, and solutions.
• Technical Documentation: Prepare technical files in 2D and 3D for product sampling and development.
• Design Communication: Prepare design packages and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Project Coordination: Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Product Managers, Purchasing Managers, Quality Managers, and suppliers to ensure successful project follow-up.
• Presentation Skills: Prepare and deliver persuasive presentations for team and product development meetings.
• Trend and Inspiration: Constantly seek inspiration by attending fairs, design and fashion shows, researching trendsetters, visiting libraries, reading magazines, and exploring supplier materials and techniques.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Portfolio: Strong portfolio with a keen sense of color and trim.
• Software Proficiency: Excellent knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Good knowledge of 3D-CAD and rendering software (Rhinoceros + Keyshot is a plus).
• Creative Skills: Strong sketching and creative abilities.
• Industry Interest: High interest in product design, fashion industry, and trend-sensitive items.
• Travel: Willingness to travel locally and globally to implement projects with subcontractors.
• Innovative Thinking: Ability to think out of the box and be proactive with problem-solving skills.
• Pressure Management: Ability to perform well under pressure in a deadline-driven environment.
• Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and computer skills.
• Multicultural Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a multicultural environment.
• Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, being a strong team player.
