SUMMARY

The Product Manager is responsible for Product Management strategy within Engine Aftermarket, to ensure the right strategic product focus and the right products are designed and developed, available at the right cost to meet growth objectives and sales profit targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage market analysis team to determine the size and gaps of existing (or new) markets and Donaldson’s current (or potential) market share
  • Manage, plan and control projects and correct product design developments of the EMEA engine aftermarket business
  • Manage all product related activities regarding product management, engineering, supplier selection qualification, buy & sell decision, product launch and marketing support during the life cycle of assigned engine aftermarket products
  • Ensure cost efficient designs of aftermarket filters and provide proper sales and marketing support (incl. customer visits, product training, etc.) while constantly seeking for optimization of StdC, rationalization, product performance and quality
  • Provide full technical support to Sales and manage documentation, distributors and end-users in the field in order to help ensure further development of profitable business in accordance with company operating policies (AF4; ISO/TS 16949, etc..).
  • Ensure clear and regular communication to the organization in line with EAFM strategy
  • Ensure broad range of engineering tasks
  • Train, coach & mentor engine AM product management group

QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Master Engineering or equivalent through experience
  • +10 years of experience in a product engineering and/or a technical-commercial function

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/COMPETENCES:

  • Thorough understanding of filtration and fluid dynamic theory
  • Deep know how of specific company and competitor products
  • Sales and marketing affinity, strong customer focus and commercial understanding
  • Strong in design and application solving
  • Good communication skills and presentation skills
  • Fluent verbal and written English. French, English and others are an asset
  • Good soft skills, team player with leadership skills
  • Engineering skills: design, plastics, fluid mechanics, production
  • Understanding of company policies, aftermarket strategies, operating systems and procedures
