Our product team is growing! We at Trimble T&L Europe, are looking for a Product Manager to join our team of innovative employees.

You as our product manager:

We are looking for someone who will find out the right features and has the ability to explain why these make our products better, in order to reach our sales and marketing targets. You’ll help build the business case and create market momentum. Supported by the product owners that build the final solution, you take care of pricing, promotion and the go-to-market strategy. You will report to the Strategic Marketing Head.

You will spend time in the market to understand our customer’s problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market. In coordination with the team and business development management, you initiate and prepare the detailed product definition and user requirements with inputs from stakeholders, customers, developers and architects, including feasibility assessments and ballpark estimations, with consensus and approval.

Together with the product owner you are responsible for consistency between the development output and the product definition objectives:

• You are aware of the product backlog and are able to build a compelling product roadmap

• You’re able to detail the roadmap and build the underlying epics

• You assist with decision-making and sequencing of the critical technological components that support the business functionalities

• When new discoveries impact the size or value of work, you renegotiate priorities with stakeholders by clearly communicating trade-offs, status, release content and dates

• You will support go-to-market activities and actively set up customer workshops and cross-functional teams

When going to market, you are responsible to set everything in place for the launch, which also includes product promotion. You provide sales and marketing content and you ensure that our sales representatives are fully informed about the product.

You contribute to the market analysis and the product business plan and roadmap to define features, positioning, promotion, distribution and support as well as the market share, revenue and financial targets, effectively supporting the 12-month product rolling forecast.

Your skills & experience

• MS/BS degree and MBA or equivalent preferred

• Proven working experience as (technical) product manager / project manager / IT manager / business process manager / sales engineer / business analyst - steering all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle

• Understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development, SaaS and web technologies

• Industry experience in Transportation, Logistics, Automotive or Distribution

• Knowledge of Transportation technologies and interfaces are valuable assets

• Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done

• Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix and extremely agile organization

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
