We have a long history of industry firsts, and each year we commit a substantial amount in Research and Development to meet customer needs and patient demands.The Commercial marketing role with the objective of achieving sales & market share TGT optimizing the outcome from available resources confirmed in the budget & forecast for Cataract, Vit Ret and visualization Equipments and their respective consumables (mainly Custom-packs and VR accessories)
- Design & implement a local commercial marketing and Tactical & operational plans in alignment with the regional strategic plan
- Translates and adapts International marketing campaigns and materials to the local requirements and needs to support the sales team in their interactions with customers (in alignment of International Marketing Group)
- Design & pilot new initiatives adapted to local environment to support portfolio performance & image with continuous follow up & adjustment
- Translate key strategies into actions and POA while liaising with sales teams and fields visits to update competition information and adjust the actions to ensure better impact and positive results servings the objectives and short-Med-Long term strategies Responsible for design & execution of solid new product launches with corrective actions where needed
- Actively contributes to strengthening the relationship with KOLs and key customers through educational/promotional events and 1-1 interactions /co-visits
- Supports test market activities for future products, new upgrades, updates etc. preparing and passing the LRRs (Lanch Readiness Reviews)
- Develop an effective commercial marketing action plan for BNLX with clear tactics & KPIs with a monthly follow up & adjustments.
- Prepare and present business updates and plans @ Business Reviews and Budget / forecast Discussions.
- Ensure alignment between actions, performance & correction toward Cataract, Vit Ret and visualization Equipment with their respective consumables (mainly Custom-packs and VR accessories)
- Plan, prepares & present product messaging, product trainings and marketing materials at each cycle meeting
- Prepare promotional materials to support the Benelux business along the guidelines by translating and fine-tuning international campaigns & materials to local (legal) needs.
- Provide sales team with information and insights which allow them to enhance their effectiveness and performance.
- Analyze sales statistics and SF1 dashboards
- Follow up and improve campaigns execution & update in SF1
- Regular updates of competitor product/activity dashboards vs Alcon products
- Develop and lead execution of customer activities and events :
- Congress attendance and participation,
- Local promotional & educational events.
- Round tables and dinner meetings.
- Product training , wetlabs , …
- Meet on a regular basis with key opinion leaders and key customers
- Identify candidate ophthalmologists for trials
- Responsible for working according to the ISO-9002 guidelines and ISO 13485 and the relevant SOP’s , AP3 , Alcon Values & Behaviors and local rules and regulations
- Bachelor working and thinking level, or similar relevant education.
- Medical background is preferred
- Knowledge of ophthalmology, surgical procedures and techniques is a plus
- Marketing knowledge, technical and commercial acumen
- Languages - Dutch, French and English fluent
- At least 3-5 years medical devices sales and /or marketing experience
