Production Manager (m/f)

The Coating division has an extensive portfolio of products and activities, and develops, produces and distributes yarns, fabrics and coated technical textiles in key markets like transport, industry, civil engineering & construction.

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Financial Controller to focus on the management reporting, budgeting and forecasting of two subdivisions of the Coating Division.

• Monitor productivity, quality and costs, and take corrective and preventive measures in consultation with the General Manager.
• Monitor the production budget, complaints / non-conforming products and make any necessary adjustments, and track new trends and developments in production.
• Initiate, implement and improve work methods and processes within the functional area / entire organisation with a view to optimising the operation.
• Develop ad hoc studies and/or investment projects in consultation with the General Manager.
• Monitor the production schedule, plan and distribute production tasks, and resolve any problems.
• Give instructions and work guidance, and coordinate interconnected activities.
• Approve work instructions and job descriptions for the various production activities.
• Ensure that (new) employees receive (further) training and supervision, and motivate, coach and support staff.
• Monitor workplace safety and take any necessary action.

• You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar (managerial) position, preferably in a production environment.
• You are a good communicator and diplomatic, with the necessary powers of persuasion and specialist skills.
• You are open-minded, solution-oriented, good at handling stress and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• You have a hands-on, customer-focused approach, and can communicate effortlessly with colleagues, staff and a variety of external services and contacts.
• You are a motivator and coach, and you support your staff as needed.
• You have good administrative skills, the ability to work well under pressure and strong analytical acumen. Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
• You are fluent in Dutch, French and English.
