As the Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Project Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in executing small and medium-sized projects.

Moreover, you will ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, relevant cyber security regulations and standards, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.

• Project leadership
• Leads the project team, establishes the project execution approach, and oversees project hand-over, execution planning, and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources in order to accomplish all project goals.
• Provides performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects.
• Instructions and guidelines
• Active involvement in continuous improvement and simplification.
• Supports improving guidelines, tools, and templates.
• Project execution and control
• Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies.
• Effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resource utilization.
• Monitors and controls project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses, and cash flow.
• Identifies, qualifies, quantifies, and manages project risks and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued.
• Captures, analyses and shares lessons learned throughout the project.
• Contract and claims/ & Procurement Management
• Acts as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues.
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders.
  

How Your Day Could Look Like

Joining a contract negotiation and translate that quickly in a high-level structured project plan. After the meeting you will structure the requirements and deliverables in a transparent manner, to make sure there can be no misunderstanding in what is agreed to fulfill the contract.Visit the local business unit of ABB to agree on the execution plan based on the contract agreements with the global and local customer.

Agree with all the stakeholders globally on your execution plan: what the processes and escalation paths in different situations will be during the project. Also clearly agreeing the roles and responsibilities, change management and when/how the project will be fully handed over to the local operation teams.

Brainstorm with your project management team how to improve the program execution strategy for the local or regional project operation from the global product group perspective.

Visit occasionally the factory in Italy guiding the customer and the local team doing a FAT.

Regular interactions with the “back end” like: Product Management, customer service handling order processes, production, logistics, asset management, COC and Field service. You also support the local service so they can do installation/commissioning and have a good SLA agreement in place, etc. All of this to make sure your projects will meet the goal and after that will smoothly flow into operation.

Regularly give a presentation and report to internal stakeholders and steering committee on the frameworks’ whereabouts reviewing the status, challenges, budget, risks and mitigations, as well as the unforeseen contractual changes.

In this position you will help to implement project management processes with the attention to a given type of projects (i.e., framework agreements and programs).

Have a dinner to build relations but also have urgent meetings with key internal or external stakeholders. So serving as an escalation point for individual and systemic project management issues within the project execution.

Requirements

To make the above work, we are looking for a medior professional who is an excellent communicator, solution-oriented, and self-driven. Other essential requirements:

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• You have minimum 5 years of working experience, preferrably as Project Manager in Electrical Installations, EV charging industry or related fields
• You speak Dutch and English, French and other EU languages is a plus
• You can handle projects in different locations in Belgium and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• You thrive in a collaborative environment, seamlessly working with teams to achieve common goals.
• You take ownership of projects, driving them forward independently while achieving targets and deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and working well under pressure.
• Independent, self-driven, someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, growth venture environment
• Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset. You are comfortable working in dynamic international environments, with fast decision-making under uncertainty
