Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a project portfolio lead in Geel, Belgium.

The Geel site is our largest chemical production site for small molecule API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) within the Johnson and Johnson supply chain. We ensure lifesaving medicines reach the patient safely and optimally. Besides production of API’s, the site has a launch & grow mission for new pharmaceutical products. About The Role

Are you ready to play a pivotal role, where your contributions will directly impact our organization’s growth and success? As project portfolio lead, you’ll be at the heart of our investment portfolio, supervising all projects, ensuring our initiatives align with our organizational goals.

You’ll strive to find the right balance between strategic projects, driving our long term growth, and investments to maintain current asset base. This involves incorporating stakeholder perspectives and priorities in support of the decision-making process to define our project portfolio.

The project portfolio lead will be the force behind successful portfolio execution, strategically scheduling projects in time based on commonalities between projects and resource availability. Through continuous monitoring, analysis and engagement, you’ll unlock insights, spot risks, and drive portfolio execution excellence.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive project portfolio excellence, maximizing business value.
  • Provide valuable insights and support in defining our site investment portfolio.
  • Communicate the dynamic status of our project portfolio to various stakeholders.
  • Prepare and facilitate project approval meetings, ensuring smooth and effective decision-making.
  • Champion project portfolio tools, fostering a culture of project-based learning and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with project leaders and sponsors in crafting compelling presentations for project approval, aiming for right-first-time approval.
  • Take charge of the project resource management process, ensuring optimal utilization for maximum efficiency and impact.
  • Capture and share lessons learned, promoting knowledge sharing and innovation across projects.

Qualifications:

Experience

Seeking passionate individuals with a drive to excel, regardless of experience level.

Education, Personality, And Skills

  • A master’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a Science, Technology, or Engineering field.
  • An independent and curious person with a can-do mindset.
  • Analytical skills, excelling in analyzing data, deriving meaningful insights, translating these into visually compelling graphs, charts, and storylines, tailored to the intended audience.
  • A thorough approach, ensuring accuracy and precision while maintaining a broader perspective.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective interactions with stakeholders across different levels.
  • Experience in project management and/or technical knowledge of chemical production equipment is a plus.
