About The JobAs a Project Support Officer, you will provide support for monitoring new and ongoing internal and external projects. You’re also in charge of following-up on the project status and track its progress, as well as managing (smaller) internal projects as needed under the direction of the PMO.
Besides that, you will assist and/or mentor project managers in the PMO process and tools, as well as providing administrative support related to the PMO and the associated projects. You will assist the PMO with training for Project Management methods and tools on both an ongoing basis, and on a just-in-time basis as new projects are initiated. Your work also entails regularly performing consistency and quality checks to assure the project data in and across various tools is up to date and remains in sync.
Your day-to-day activities include:
- Solicit status from project leaders on their monthly status reporting dashboards and perform quality checks
- Organizing and following-up on stage gates for the Executive Steering Committee
- Working within the PMO, identify roadblocks and develop plans to eliminate them to ensure project success
- Update PMO and Project Management documentation as necessary as changes to processes or functions occur
- Work closely with the IT team to implement, test and roll out the Project and Portfolio Management Software package updates and upgrades to the system
- Work closely with the Finance Department for project financial aspects
Your Skills And Interests
